Endoscopic submucosal excavation for ileal lipoma (with video)
A 53-year-old man was admitted to a local hospital with persistent severe right lower abdominal colic. CT of the abdomen revealed intussusception of the small intestine (A). The patient was recommended dietary abstinence, administered anti-infective agents, and provided intravenous nutritional support. Upon sufficient pain relief, the patient was referred to our hospital for further treatment. CT of the abdomen and small intestine showed a terminal ileal lipoma. Additionally, colonoscopy revealed a yellow submucosal tumor approximately 5 cm in size at the end of the ileum (B).
