At the 2020 Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) Annual Scientific Meeting, I received a top principal investigator (PI) research award from the HFSA and the Heart Failure Collaboratory (HFC) for the vericiguat global study in subjects with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction trial (VICTORIA) 1. This trial was a randomized parallel-group, placebo-controlled, double-blind, event-driven, multi-center pivotal phase III clinical outcome trial testing the efficacy and safety of the oral soluble guanylyl cyclase stimulator vericiguat in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
