A capsule-sponge test may help identify patients with Barrett’s esophagus who are at low risk for dysplasia or esophageal cancer and potentially eliminate the need for repeat endoscopies, according to research published in The Lancet.BE is a known risk factor for the development of dysplasia and esophageal cancer.
