Micro-AbstractThis study evaluated the epidemiology and infection risks in patients with multiple myeloma managed with second-generation therapies and monoclonal antibodies. Clinical records of 148 patients with multiple myelomawere reviewed to capture demographics, treatments, infection episodes, and outcomes. Viral infections now constitute the majority of infections, and a higher risk patient group (proteasome inhibitor-treated and > 4 lines of therapy) has been identified.
