In this video, Erin Parry, MD, PhD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, outlines the gold standard for diagnosing Richter’s transformation (RT) and expresses her hope that her work on clonal relationship status and genetics of RT will deepen molecular characterization of the malignancy and aid in diagnosis. Dr Parry also comments on the potential of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and molecular cytogenetic analysis to identify which patients possess the mutations associated with a high risk of RT.
