Physicians under pressure in name, image and likeness era

The ruling of the United States Supreme Court in National Collegiate Athletic Association v. Alston, 2021, paved the way for collegiate athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness.Since then, the professionalization of amateur athletics has evolved rapidly, with name, image and likeness (NIL) policies expanding to apply to high school athletes in states where it has been legalized.
