Intrachoroidal Cavitation Communicating with the Vitreous Cavity
An 83-year-old female patient with high myopia was referred for a choroidal lesion in the left eye. The patient was asymptomatic, with a visual acuity of 10/10 in both eyes. Fundus examination revealed myopic degeneration, peripapillary atrophy (white arrow), and a well-defined yellowish peripapillary lesion (green arrow) without associated hemorrhage or subretinal fluid (A, B). B-scan OCT showed a hyporeflective intrachoroidal cavitation communicating with the vitreous cavity. No schisis or serous retinal detachment was observed (C, D).
