Humanitarian access is needed to prevent famine in Gaza
The international community must act now to stop starvation in Gaza, writes Bob Kitchen In Gaza, people are getting closer to starvation every day. We are witnessing one of the worst human made catastrophes of the past century. Evidence from International Rescue Committee (IRC) mobile health teams shows that malnutrition among children has doubled in just one month.1 Families are rationing a single piece of bread among six people. Our staff of dedicated humanitarians are skipping meals so that their children can eat. The recent strike escalation in the region must not distract away from the horrifying tragedy happening in Gaza.
