In 2022, 7.8 percent of adults aged 18 and older were treated for heart disease, and men were more likely than women to have treated heart disease (8.4 % vs. 7.2%). Among age groups, the treated prevalence of heart disease was highest for those aged 65 and older (22.8%) compared to only 6.0 percent for adults aged 45-64, and 1.4 percent for adults ages 18-44.
