Aspirin ‘may be harmful’ to patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases

CHICAGO — Daily adjuvant aspirin did not reduce disease recurrence for patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases and may increase risk for death, according to findings presented at ASCO Annual Meeting.Results of a randomized phase 3 trial showed participants who received aspirin had similar DFS rates as those who took placebo.
